Getting cables into panels and enclosures in the days before Cembre EWO could be fiddly work. You'd be juggling hole saws and cutters for metalwork, while trying to fit individual cable glands around each of your wires. Or maybe you use blank gland plates with pre-drilled holes? Well, you'd better hope you've got the right size cables, and if the layout changes, you might need to chuck the whole thing out and start again. And as for brush or strip plates, they're good for dust protection, but not much else!

Introducing CEMBRE EWO
EWO stands for Easy Wire Organiser, and the EWO lives up to that name. This is a state-of-the-art split cable entry system designed to save time, reduce mess and improve safety all round.
How EWO Works
At the heart of the system is a reinforced PA6.6 fibreglass frame with an overmoulded thermoplastic elastomer seal. Which sounds complicated, but it's not. Just look at it:
The Plug & Fix design means you just choose your frame size, slot in the grommets that fit your cables and lock it all in for a IP66 rated seal and guaranteed cable hold. Easy peasy.
Rectangular Frames
The rectangular range is the most versatile, ideal for applications in industrial automation, switchgear and control panels. Sizes vary from compact 9000.10/3 for three grommets. all the way up to 9000.24/10 for up to ten grommets at once!
Square Frames
Square options such as the 9000.Q/1 and 9000.Q/4 provide a neat solution where panel space is tight. They are especially useful in smaller control boxes or when you only need a handful of entries without the bulk of a larger frame.
Reduced Rectangular Frames
For particularly slim enclosures, the reduced rectangular versions (9000.R series) deliver the same sealing and flexibility but in a lower profile. This makes them ideal for retrofits and machines where every millimetre counts.
Grommets
The system offers Type A (20 x 20.6 mm) and Type B (41 x 41 mm) grommets in dozens of sizes. These cover cable diameters from as little as 1 mm up to 35 mm, with single, double or even quadruple holes for maximum flexibility. The grommets sit flush in the frame, with no protrusions, guaranteeing sealing in line with EN62444.
Accessories
Cembre provides a full range of accessories to finish the job. Blind plugs allow unused holes to be sealed. Closing plates are available to cover frame openings. Push-fit mounts give additional support in panels, while external seals can be added for particularly rough or uneven surfaces. Split bushings and sealing plugs complete the toolkit.
