What is the Danfoss Vacon 20?
The Danfoss VACON 20 is a compact yet powerful variable speed drive designed for industrial automation applications. Available in power ratings from 0.25kW up to 18.5kW, the VACON 20 supports both asynchronous induction motors and permanent magnet motors for a versatile solution across a wide range of industries.
Common applications include conveyors, pumps, fans, packaging machinery, material handling systems and washing or processing equipment, where reliable motor control and energy efficiency are essential.
Despite its compact footprint, the VACON® 20 includes advanced built-in functionality such as integrated PLC capability, RS485 communications and optional fieldbus connectivity including CANopen, PROFIBUS DP and DeviceNet. The range was designed for fast installation and commissioning, with DIN rail mounting, easy-access terminals and parameter copying tools helping to reduce setup time.
