LED Controls Celebrates 30 Years of Factory Automation Distribution

2026 marks the 30th Anniversary of the founding of LED Controls, and what better way to celebrate than with a bit of a do? LED staff, friends and family gathered at Mytton Fold for an afternoon of fun, food, drink and chat to herald the next 30 years of LED Controls Factory Automation Distribution success.

LED Controls MD Richard Allen delivered a speech early in the day, looking back on 30 years of growth since the company was founded in 1996 by his father David and Derrick Davis of LED Electrical. You've never heard a more moving speech about the distribution of industrial control gear. You can read the speech here if you like.

There was no shortage of entertainment to be had, with a live band, fire dancers, stilt-walkers and acrobats. And plenty to keep the kids occupied with a bouncy castle, craft table and outdoor games. Fun for all the family, provided by Serendipity Events.

It wouldn't be a birthday party without cakes, and there were plenty of those courtesy of Little Oven Celebration Cakes. What more could you ask for? Well, how about a BBQ stand dishing out burgers, pulled pork and chicken, thanks to The Striped Pig?

Everyone enjoyed an afternoon of sunshine and light refreshments (some not so light!) with friends old and new, all thanks to the organisation of LED Co-Owner Caroline Allen. As Ferris Bueller once said: "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." It was a pleasure to pause and look back on 30 years of LED Controls together, before getting back to it on Monday with renewed energy and clear eyes looking ahead to the next 30 years of success!
