Why Choose the AF16-30-10-12 [1SBL177001R1210]

The AF16-30-10-12 is a 3-pole contactor rated for 690 V IEC or 600 V UL applications, featuring one integral auxiliary contact and screw terminals. It is designed to control motors up to 7.5 kW at 400 V AC (AC-3) or 10 hp at 480 V UL, and switch power circuits up to 30 A (AC-1) or 30 A UL general use. Utilising AF technology, it supports a broad control voltage range of 48-130 V AC/DC (50/60 Hz), accommodating significant voltage fluctuations to enhance reliability and reduce panel energy consumption in unstable supply conditions. The contactor includes built-in surge protection for increased durability within a compact footprint. Its block-type construction allows straightforward expansion with add-on auxiliary contact blocks and a comprehensive selection of compatible accessories.

ABB AF Contactor Range

ABB contactor range can be used to control power circuits up to a level of 690 V AC and 220 V DC. The main benefit of ABB's range of AF products are that only a few coils are needed for different control voltages used in many applications without having to change the coil.

These four coil voltages run from between 24...500 V 50/60 Hz or 20...500 V DC. These are AC/DC dual rated which cover a range of amperages rather than set specifications. ABB's AF contactors have built in surge protection and do not require any other surge suppressors.

Accessories are available in the form of front and side mounted auxiliary contact blocks plus being designed as a 1 stack 3 pole block type contactor they can have a one main auxiliary contact. Replacement parts are available as well as other accessories.
