Pizzato CS AM Series – Advanced Motor Safety Now at LED Controls

We’re excited to welcome Pizzato to the LED Controls roster of trusted manufacturers, and introduce you to some of their innovative product range, starting with Pizzato CS AM Series safety modules. Designed for precise motor standstill and speed detection, these compact and intelligent units provide engineers with an extra layer of protection and performance insight.
The Pizzato CS AM range brings together standstill detection, speed monitoring, and even rotation direction detection into one smart module. This allows you to determine exactly when machinery is safe to access, improving both operator safety and process efficiency. The modules are rated up to SIL 3 / PL e, meaning they’re suited for even the most demanding safety applications, and galvanic isolation between measurement and control circuits ensures electrical safety and accuracy. They can handle both single-phase and three-phase motors, with housing sizes of 22.5 mm or 45 mm, so they fit comfortably in crowded control panels.
The Pizzato CS AM Range:
CS AM1 Series – Motor Standstill Detection
Focused solely on detecting when a motor has fully stopped. Variants include:
- CS AM11 – OSSD outputs
- CS AM12 – Relay outputs
(Depending on output type, housing width varies.)
CS AM2 Series – Speed & Direction Monitoring
Provides speed detection, rotation direction detection, and additional diagnostics (like detecting overload or rotor lock). Variants include:

The entire range is also available as a programmable version (CS AM••P) complete with a USB-C port. Through Pizzato CS AM Configurator software, users can set up and monitor their system easily with three dedicated screens:
- Project: Record project names, authors, and notes
- Setting: Adjust motor speed thresholds and standstill sensitivity
- Monitor: View live readings such as phase voltage, motor speed, and rotation direction
