What is IO-Link technology?

IO-Link is a communication protocol that connects sensors and actuators directly to a control system. Unlike traditional wiring, where devices only provide simple on or off signals, IO-Link enables two-way digital communication between the device and an IO-Link master. This allows not only process data, such as the state of a button or sensor, but also parameter settings, diagnostic information and device identification data to be exchanged in real time.

Pizzato BN Series - Smart Connectivity, Simplified

The BN Series makes full use of IO-Link, simplifying installation and maintenance while increasing system visibility. Devices can be configured and monitored remotely, wiring is reduced through point-to-point connections using standard unshielded cables, and faults can be identified quickly through detailed diagnostics. This allows operators to monitor device status, voltage, temperature, and usage data in real time. This smart monitoring not only improves visibility but also supports predictive maintenance, helping to keep your downtime to a minimum.

Modular and Customisable

Available in 3- or 6-device configurations, the BN Series is built around a modular plug-and-play system. Installation is fast and straightforward with no complex wiring, just simple M12 connections. The units feature a range of control options, including illuminated RGB push buttons, selector switches, and emergency stop buttons.

Each button’s RGB LED can be configured to show multiple colours and light patterns, such as blinking or fading effects, making it easy to convey system status at a glance. For added flexibility, the lenses are laser-markable and removable, allowing for permanent, customised labels and symbols.

Built to Withstand Industry Demands

Constructed from reinforced technopolymer and rated to IP65, the BN Series offers excellent durability and resistance to impact, dust, and moisture. Snap-on tamper protection caps keep screws clean and inaccessible, while an optional protective guard shields the emergency stop button from knocks.
