What is a Potentiometer?
Potentiometers (or POTS) are are variable resistors for adjusting voltage levels. This means they act kind of like a tap for electricity: You turn a dial to let more or less electricity pass through the potentiometer. This allows you to fine-tune machines, dim lights, or set the speed of a motor.
The EMAS Digital Potentiometer H-Series Range
The H-Series EMAS Digital Potentiometer (Digipot) range offers eight different models, tailored to your resistance and supply voltage needs:
All models use a 30 mm diameter shaft with an easy-to-read digital display. They are rated IP65 on the front, which means they are dust and water resistant. The housing is made from flame-retardant V0 PA6.6 plastic, and can handle temperatures from –15 °C to +70 °C, so you could say the housing is safe as houses.
