Finding the right Finder Relays: The LED Controls Guide to the Finder 39, 46 and 55 Series

Finder Relays from LED Controls
As a Finder Official Premium Partner, LED Controls is your expert supplier of Finder relays. Relays are essentially switches that allow a small electrical signal to safely turn a larger one on or off. This is how low-power control systems, like PLCs, can control lighting, motors, heaters and other equipment without being directly connected to high currents or voltages.
Finder relays are widely used in industrial and commercial control panels because they are reliable, flexible and well supported with a wide range of accessories. Our most popular ranges include:
Finder 39 Series – MasterINTERFACE relays for control systems
The Finder 39 Series relays are also known as MasterINTERFACE Relays. Interface relays sit between a control system, such as a PLC, and the device being switched, usually when a PLC output cannot safely drive a load directly, or when electrical isolation is needed to protect sensitive electronics.
The 39 Series modules are super-slim at just 6.2 mm wide, mount onto standard 35 mm DIN rail and use push-in terminals, so wires can be inserted quickly without fiddling with screws. The 39 Series includes electromechanical and solid state relays capable of switching loads from very low currents up to 6 A.

Typical uses for the Finder 39 Series include PLC output expansion, signal isolation, panel-building where space is tight, and applications where fast, tidy wiring is important. Explore the range here.
Finder 46 Series – compact industrial power relays
The Finder 46 Series raises the bar in power and sturdiness. These miniature industrial relays are designed for switching higher loads, while still remaining compact. They're rated up to 16 A, which makes them suitable for motors, lighting circuits and heating loads.
The 46 Series is available with one or two changeover contacts. A changeover contact means the relay can switch between two outputs - often described as "normally open" and "normally closed" - giving you more flexibility in your control circuits.
These relays plug into sockets that can be DIN-rail mounted and are available with push-in or clamp terminals. Accessories such as LED indicators, test buttons and suppression modules help with commissioning and fault finding.

The Finder 46 Series is a good choice for control panels, lighting control, machinery and industrial automation where higher current handling is required, but space is still a consideration. Explore the range here.
Finder 55 Series – versatile general-purpose relays
The Finder 55 Series is one of the most versatile and widely used relay families. These are general-purpose relays designed to handle medium-to-high loads, typically between 7 A and 10 A, with multiple contact configurations. Models are available with two, three or four changeover contacts, allowing one relay to control several circuits at once.
This makes the 55 Series ideal for applications such as control panels, power distribution, HVAC systems, lifts, cranes and lighting installations. The relays plug into a wide choice of sockets, including DIN rail and PCB mounting, with screw, clamp or push-in terminals. Optional features include mechanical indicators, lockable test buttons and LED coil indication, which are useful during maintenance.

If you need a dependable, do-it-all relay that covers many use cases, the Finder 55 Series is often the safest choice. Check out LED Controls Finder 55 range here.

Which Finder relay should you choose?
If you are working with PLCs, control signals or very limited panel space, the Finder 39 Series is usually the best starting point.
When you need to switch higher loads, such as motors or lighting circuits, but still want a compact relay with industrial durability, the Finder 46 Series is a strong choice.
Should your application require more flexibility, multiple contacts, or a proven all-round solution for control panels and power switching, the Finder 55 Series is hard to beat.
